The iconic Ram of Derby County, carved and cut from a solid piece of oak.

I'm a huge fan of badges and icons in this design style.

The biggest challenge with this carving was getting it to stand upright on its own.

The ram is stood so aggressively that the centre of gravity is way over to the left.

I had to compensate for this with small tweaks to the design and basically leaving as much material as possible at the tail end!

It can stand on a flat surface but he does have a tendancy to bow his head for a drink with any slight knock.

Perfect for Derby fans to show their allegiance with pride.
